Page 70 of the rent book lists Jacob Benson Jr. on a farm in lot 15 that contains 125 acres. This farm was about 46 chains west of the Oblong and adjoined the Nine Partners line. His house was virtually on the Patent line in the center of the north side of the farm. In 1795 he also had possession of the "Knickerbocker farm" per map of lot 15. This farm was just to the west of his 125 acre farm and to the east of the Ten Mile River. George Casey was on the south end of the farm, adjacent to the lot 14 line. Ambrose and Japhet Hunt were earlier (1749) on this farm when it was 250 acres. It was split in half ca. 1760 and Levi Rowley took a lease for two years and then Jacob Benson Jr. paid a bond in 1762. Ambrose Hunt took the other half from Japhet. Jacob Benson Jr. posted a bond of £10/14/6 when he took the lease. We believe, as noted above, that the Hunts and Bensons were related. [LRB 70, 77].
