pg 131, Hon. George H White, Grand Rapids, Michigan was born at Dresden, Yates County New York, September 9, 1922. His father, Joseph White, a mechanic and farmer, and his mother, Lucy (Rowley) White, born near Watkins, at the head of Seneca Lake, were the parents of five children. But two of these, William B and the oldest son, George H White, are now living. Mr White attended the schools of his native town until he reached his thirteenth year, when he went with his grandfather, Ezra Rowley, to Fountain County, Indian. There he worked one year on his grandfather's farm. |
