The last Will and Testament of Cornelius Rowley of Montgomery Township, Indiana County, State of Pennsylvania

In the name of God I Cornelius Rowley considering the uncertainty of the mortal life and being of sound mind and memory, blessed be the Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say

 First, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Theresa Rowley her maintenance off the plantation so long as she remains my widow and also one horse beast, two cows, two beds, and a sufficient quantity of household and kitchen furniture and the plantation to be kept until the youngest child becomes of age.

Item, I give and bequeath to my eldest son John Rowley an equal share of my land and other property.

Item, I give and bequeath to Amanda Lettice Elmira Rowley heir of Christopher Rowley dec'd the sum of ten dollars when she becomes of full age or at her marriage.

Item, I give and bequeath to my son Henry Rowley twenty five acres of the land being on the north of the road called the Mahonning road joining on the north west corner of said piece the land being the same land he now occupies for his share of the land.

Item, I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Jane Rowley intermarried with Isaiah Bartlebaugh the sum of twenty dollars one year after my death and that is to be her full portion.

I give and bequeath unto my son Isaac Rowley the two thirds of an equal share of land the two thirds of an equal share of my other property to be his portion in full.

Item, I give and bequeath unto Josiah Rowley one hundred dollars and an equal share of my land and an equal share of my other property.

Item, I give and bequeath unto my son Simon Peter Rowley and (sic) equal share of my land and an equal share of my other property.

Item, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Rowley and (sic) equal share of my land and equal share of my other property.

Item, I will that all my just debts as shall be by me owing at the time of my death together with my funeral expenses and all charges touching the proving of or otherwise concerning this my last will shall in the first place out of my personal estate and effects be fully paid and satisfied

I hereby appoint John Rowley and Josiah Rowley executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made

and further I will that if any one of the heirs mentioned in this my last will and testament be dissatisfied with this my will and goes to law about it must do it at their own expense and cost.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the thirtyeth (sic) day of January A.D. one thousand eight hundred and sixty four (1864)
