1860 | The 1860 census I find a John H. Rowley living with his mother, wife, child and brother, .John H, is listed as a cooper and is also born in NY. Brother, then 17 was born in NJ. (He was probably also the John H Rowley living with Anthony Rowley as his apprentice cooper on the 1850 census) | |

109 Greene St. Anthony Rowley is a house furnisher that lived at 59 Greene St as well as William G., One might guess they could be related. His occupation is listed as a traveling agent. Edward Rowley is listed as a musician with a home at 41 Fall 3 men by name of George Rowley - a laborer and an insurance agent and a lawyer |

1869 | Death registration for the year 1869 for Rosalie Rowley and James Rowley. It lists Rosalie's parents as John and Margaret Ledger and James's parents as Azariah and Margaret Rowley. Her name appears as both Margaret and Margaret Rosalie Rowley. James is listed as a painter, married and dying of consumption. Rosalie died of cancer. It has Rosalie being born in MA and James in Trenton. (a newspaper announcement to supports this) | |

1871 | In 1871 there are 2 Rowleys listed as coopers . 1- Azariah with a home at 109 Greene 2- E. H. at the same address. This is the same one as the marriage listed in the marriage certificate. If so, one might guess that Azariah had to move once EH married Lizzie. |

1878 | On a thermofax of a marriage return for an Edward (not
certain if it is an A or H., appears more to be an H) Rowley.
Edward Rowley was living at 62 Lamberton. 26 years; a Sugarmaker His first marriage to Lizzie L. Luter (116 Warren St., 22 years, father: Ezeikel (sic) Luter and Hannah Cannover. Dec.13, 1878 Marriage took place in Lamberton (and the top of the form says R-38 Looks like a microfilm reference number.) |

1896 | In the 1896 directory of Trenton were listed 9 Rowleys 1- Charles B. a tobacconist at 139 Broad (home) 2- Christopher, a potter boards at 398 Clinton Ave 3- Edward, a tailor boarding at 96 Spring 4- Edward A, butcher home at 120 Jackson 5- Ellen, a widow residing at 39 Tyrell Ave 6- George, a decorator home at 57 Mechanics Ave 7- Harry E, a cigar manufacturer 232 Perry (home) 8- Ralph, potter boarding at 232 Perry 9- Samuel, a potter home at 211 Mott Note: neither Azariah or Edward were listed under their respective jobs of coopers or confectioners etc. But of course, this is the year Azariah died. |

1896 | Death certificate for Azariah H. Rowley , a cooper dated 4 June 1896 residing at the Odd Fellows Paralytics Home and is buried at Greenwood Cemetery. Says he was 81 and died of paralysis. He had the condition for 3 years (The reference number cell was 142:R 35.) |
